    Didn't he use to beat the odd penal soldier under his command to death to prove to his men he exactly how he meant business.

    Still, he got "Utu" and what was coming to him, when the Poles got their hands on him after May 1945. And they did it slowly, night after night with a vomit filled blood sack tied over his head.
