Have you ever seen a real one from this time Frame?

The seamstress which would have made this tab would have been looking for a new Job the next day......

Not even Oberführer Dirlewanger would have worn those!

                  Well...

Cuz dat Boy bee jus a bit twisted out da wrong way. Wounded 11 times in combat, once being run through with a sabre. A scurrilous character in anybodys book, but an interesting one.

Not to mention the underage girls and drinking and driving offenses.

                    Insignia

Tabs are bad reproductions. Dr. Stranelove's description of Dirlewanger is dead on the money.

I agree with the others. Very bad repros.
Compare the tabs with original tabs and you will see the different.
It's a way to fat style!!! Noway!

What combat units did he fight in during WW2, first time I noticed he had the CCC.
I suspect a lot of those wounds were in WW1?

                            Everywhere

WW1 and any hot spot after that, Spanish Civil War etc. Odd thing is he picked up a doctorate degree along the way. Guy was far better at give no quarter/expect no quarter combat than being a Civilian. No morals whatsoever, but absolutely fearless in combat. Always fighting alongside his Men.

Dirlewanger Brigade is not who you want to wake up to outside your window. Their divisional coat of arms should have included a flamethrower.
