A display of "blurred edge" camouflage pieces

    Hi all,

Here are some pics of a set comprising camouflage pieces (zeltbahn, cap and Tarnjacke) whose common point is the "blurred edge" type.
To complete the display I added a mod. 42 jacket and an ET 62 helmet.

I hope that you'll enjoy it ! Julien

          Hi,

In order to answer to Tougnol, here are some pics of the cap which were taken by the former owner.

I would try to do another photos in natural light tomorrow.

          Best regards Julien

First of all, the summer side:

                cammo cap ?

I think you had better take a closer look at your cap, see for instance the posting "blurred edge cap " that was just made.

                  Hi jimt,

I apologize but I don't understand what you mean with your reply ? Would it be an allusion about the athenticity of this cap ?

Thank you for your answer. J

                    Origin of the cap

To clarify the things, I acquired this cap from Owen alias kammo man.
Moreover the first photos of this cap are from his post about these pieces of uniforms of the WaF:
                    http://www.wehrmachtawards.com/forum...light=camo+cap

Perhaps it would be interesting if we could discuss about the cap and especially if Owen could explain us the reasons why he's sure about its authenticity.

                    Julien

This exact cap was the blurred edge example used for the thread "The SS Camo Cap" on this forum. Interestingly not one person on this forum called out the cap then. At that time there was nothing but praise. Now that the new owner has posted the cap ...its questionable? Interesting.
Citadelle, were you aware of that? The link you posted didn't work.
JimT, why call out the cap now and not when it was posted to that thread? You were a major contributor to that thread.

Citadelle, unfortunately it was also the exact same cap used by the originator of that very thread "The SS Camo Cap" as evidence of fraud by another collector/former member of this forum. This cap was destroyed here on the forum by Kammo Man and Fritz. Were you made aware of that prior to purchase?
Anyway, review those threads. I guess it just depends on who owns the cap in regards to its authenticity.

Sincerely I was not a fan before and than for some details of constriction, thread and others but I think when we have concerns but not pretty sure is a good think to burn an item.

First of all I would like to thank David T for his analysis, which is the same as mine.

Of course I acquired this cap as authentic especially as it had been shown as original on the post of kammo man. And no one has expressed any doubt at that time about it.

I was so very happy to show a "blurred edge" display which was completed thanks to the purchase of this camo cap. Then Jimt implied that it was not in conformity...

It was a "big blast" for me to read this as I was persuaded to buy something presented as authentic, validated by the eulogistic remarks of the members of the forum. And I am very surprised that no one on the forum expresses the slightest doubt and reproach since I revealed to have acquired this piece of uniform from Owen !!

Now I would like to know if this camo ap is original or not... and if not to obtain a refund.

                            Thank you very much. Julien
