These 2 tabs were brought home by my Grandfather, among lot's of things. He was a Captain in
Surgical and Field Hospitals. It was a usual thing to see German wounded come through the medical care system, including SS....and a prime place to pluck the fruits of combat souvenirs. And he was quite the "picker"!
I would have to go back and re-read his "diary" to know what information he may have recorded about his souvenirs, including these. He actually had notes on about 25% of his souvenirs. Usually consisting of Name, rank and Unit.
Notice the one tab has had the NCO Tresse torn away from it. That's from being in a hurry while removing it!!
