There were also some interesting modern day items for sale as well, for example these portraits of famous
Waffen-SS officers which were produced and marketed towards the WW2 enthusiast some years back.

I have no idea why this dealer had a German Army winter parka in water pattern camouflage listed as an SS item.
The price on the reverse side of the tag was something like $5,600.-

Tom Shutt faked those by the hundreds. Stay away from all of those....

And then you have items like this which are often put together to make it more attractive.
It's not even an SS cut tunic. This is a standard Army issue six button Model 43 tunic with SS
          insignia added to it.

If this was an authentic original it would be behind glass or in a museum by now.

Faked what? Those art prints of the SS Panzer commanders?
How can they be faked if they were sketched and printed in 1990s?
Please clarify what yo are referring to?
            Thanks.

              Thanks.
Faked the autographs............ He was arrested for it. Those pictures were part of the confiscated collection. He sold most of those when they first came out and added the signatures for a couple years. He framed them at his shop....."The Kings Crown"......and hawked them at his shop, the SOS, Pomona, and The MAX.
Any of the "old" guys know the story. If it has an autograph on it and it's framed..........It's FAKE. The original prints had no autographs.

Once a year in Monroeville (Pittsburgh), PA in early October.

Thanks for sharing this information about the fake signatures.
So even items produced recently can often be suspect to fraud.
I guess where there is easy money to be made the temptation is great.
Well at least he was caught and held accountable for his crimes.

The top sleeve eagle is a fake, dating back to the mid 70's and shown on this catalogue from the period ..

as are both the metal cap insignia.

This was probably the most interesting and rarest of SS items for sale at the show.

The medals and uniform insignia of Waffen-SS General Hermann Priess.
All these items appear to be one main grouping which came from his estate.
