The "silber" iron cross is a Zimmerman.
Here is an example from my collection. You can just see the "silber" stamp
      below the screw disc.

The prices of SS Honor Ring of the first type oscillate around 20,000 €. Others were very nice individual items, and who will prohibit the rich
            ...but 12760 € + 17,5% Buyer's Premium per APB ?, it's difficult for me to understand

              Hi,

VON DEM BACH ZELEWSKI (PARTIAL) ESTATE
22 lots proposed and sold on Ratisbons 20 by seller “Van Braun” (December 2, 2017)

Total hammer prices : 70241 euros
Total hammer prices with buyer’s premium : 82533.175 euros

Total profit for the seller “Von Braun” : 55800.80 + 416.50 = 56216.30 euros (80.03% of total hammer prices, 68.11% of total hammer prices with buyer’s premium)
              - 19 lots sold for more than 200 euros each, total : 69751 euros – 20% of fees = 55800.80 euros
              - 3 lots sold for less than 1200 euros, total : 490 euros – 15% of fees = 416.50 euros

              Total profit for Ratisbons : 14024.70 (seller’s fees) + 12292.175 (buyer’s premium) = 26316.875 euros (31.89% of total hammer prices with buyer’s premium)

I can't forbid me to sing "Rape me.... rape me my friend"...
What an historical WASTE done for money...

My own opinion : if you don't have the financial b*ll*cks to buy such groupings, don't buy them to destroy them a few months later for money !
I don't care what people may think, i don't care that it was a question of life or death ("to save a son, the dog etc"). Historically speaking it was a pure mess. It happened in the past, it will happen in the future. But this is a perfect example of an "historical rape".

              See You

If I remember correctly, there are 3" famous military"personnel grouping ended up in auction house.
                  Are there any more?
If so, like to see a photo of the group before split- up.

Is it known who purchased the Mölder's grouping...?

Do you own the Keitel grouping Chen or is that a photo from Stephen Wolfe's house....?

These 3 groupings( Molders, Milch and Keitel) all appeared in HH auctions and all split-up already and purchased by different individuals.
(Due to HH did not use Keitel's grouping as front cover, so use Wolfe's photo to demo.)

While I can understand Vince's frustration over the splitting up of this or any other historical grouping, the facts are:

                          1) The buyer can do what he wants with his group/property

                          2) While it is sad to split historical groupings, the same happens with less important groupings all the time (not saying it's right but it happens)

                          3) The unfortunate truth is that this will happen to most groupings, especially the historic ones since they cost so much to buy as a group. Most people do not have the funds to keep a group together or they do not have the interest in spending money on everything in a group if they are only interested in collecting one type of item, i.e. a collector keeps the badges but lets the documents go. Eventually, I am certain that my father's WWII group will be split up or discarded.

                          4) Families split groupings all the time. Germans tend to put more value on documents than the badges themselves. I can't recall how many times I have seen families sell the medals but keep the paper.

                          5) Some say that splitting a group allows more people to enjoy pieces of the group.

                          6) Unless fully documented with pictures/letters and/or a long provenance, German groupings are hard to definitively prove that they came together or are indeed the original pieces from the war. Groups that have been regrouped at a later period are even more difficult to verify. How many times do we see items in a group sale that were not part of the original sales from a few years ago.

With all that being said if someone can buy and keep a group together good for them, but I do not necessarily condemn someone for splitting a group.

The buyer can do what he wants and it is more easy to find buyers for individual items compared who can afford a whole group. In case someone can buy also all items individual.

I fully agree on what is stated below.
From an historicall point of view this splitting is an enormous disaster!!!!
I cant understand why someone likes to collect historical items, except from a pure passion on preservating some kind of historical legacy.

Splitting a group means destroying it and its historical importance, and we the collector community are responsible for it as some of us justifies these actions.
It is very sad to hear here reasons as " it is easier to sell it splitted" and similars... When did we became in investors or merchants??
I thought we were here because of the History, not for the money..
Please guys, think about it just a second.

I’m always sad when I see a historical group split up but on the other hand it allows more people to enjoy and see the history. It might even be better to have it split apart and available for many folks to look at one piece and a photo of the entire collection than to have all of it squirreled away someone safe never to be seen by the public.
