                      Oak BE

                      Hello
I have been trying to chime in and post pics of my oak b jacket. No luck with my smart (dumb) phone, Anyway my example has the loops for the boards cut off and has light wear.
Something I noticed on a few oak b garments is the fall side is printed on the coarse side. It seems odd to me that the registration of the spring side is superior. Why would this be when the spring side does not even get used or exposed?? Was there a process change early on? Where these garments perhaps initially intended to be spring side to be dominant?
My oak b jacket has a Statni stamp unfortunatley that has leaked through the back. I am still happy to have an example. I have owned it for over 25 years. I heard the Statni hoard contained several of these. Perhaps this is a clue to at least one unit may have been issued these?

                        Simple
The Green side is always printed on the FACE of the fabric.
Face is called top side in garment talk.

Why did they decide the green is the Face or top side? When the fall side is the side exposed?? Since the fall side is exposed is that not the better side intended for camoflage purposes?

At the print house they don't care.

Have you ever been to a printing house ?

                                Oak BE

Thanks Owen, I believe you, this is definitley your area of expertise.
I just though the SS camo office would have thought of every minor detail in the production of their uniforms, obviously not.
