    The cloth speaks for itself.

They were made with more skill, in a different factory, not in Germany but certainly not lacking. Construction specs for every seam is identical, which is much more than can be said of the SS hbt version of the smock

Easily arranged , all you would need is an original paper that said " German Uniform" . I've had lots of capture papers with things from vets and they almost never have any real item detail. Just things like "luger" with the serial number, German helmet, etc. It's not going to say "reddish SS pullover smock"

Unfortunately my guy only took an exterior shot of each and in most cases a shot of the costume company markings which was his primary task. Due to the language issue it was important to keep instructions simple.

Please explain to me how the HB smock differs from a regular jacket and is different from a pink
It is of course the slanted pocket cut with field removed Cammo loops and cut cuffs

Agreed, that's why any vet story wouldn't hold water to a non believer so worthless and the fact that none have come from vets is meaningless . Why even bring it up?

                  Because its beyond valid
Don't belittle a true and tested source when you are faithful The dealer who peddled these on the market will tell you what you want to hear.

Where even once has a hotel buy turned up a Pink with a vet saying I brought it home ?

                  NEVER.

                  You just dream ........
They were only made for the eastern front ........

Like I said yesterday you need to learn your SS camouflage clothing subject , because with all respect you are literally a fish out of water here.

Other than the obvious which is the use of non-water repellent non duck material, many if not most utilized non-hbt pocket bags and had a center seam down the back. All of that you know of course.

As a point of interest, I believe that there are only a couple of known period photos where the wear of the hbt smock can be positively confirmed. I also believe that the first photo of one these being worn was not recognized until fairly recently say the last 20 years or so, maybe less:

                      Well here's your theory busted
                      No center seam
                      HB pocket bags

                      It's made from HB alright

Honestly some of your theories are busted right here

Owen, As I mentioned earlier let's stay away from getting personal here. We strongly disagree and if evidence comes to light one of us will be proven wrong. If it's me I'll happily admit it , tell you you were right and move on. So far nothing more has been proven other then that they are not like the standard item.

Again it's worth showing the pink against original jackets as the thread progresses
Here's the pink beside a polyspot variant

Again you can see the colors and size were consistent throughout the war.

Strangely the pink is smaller and has bright colors

And I will happily admit also if I am wrong.
Please ask Bruce Herman who Jerome Blake was.

I'll ask him when I talk with him next. Is Jerome still with us? if so I'd be interested in hearing the Austrian story firsthand.
