If anyone wants one, there is one for sale on Gunbroker, where it has sat for almost a year for sale. If any of you want to buy one of these, I'll send you the link - it's 300.00 for a "original" skull and the rare "original" matching sidecap eagle, also discussed and considered original by some.

This is a total fantasy skull, IMO.

Original or not. The skull looks damn ugly on the cap with the square form. Sorry if i offended your cap

Here you go then - a real bevo skull goes for around 400 USD. You can have this whole cap for your collection for 300 USD.

I don't mind being wrong on this skull one bit - I hope that you folks have a really rare skull in your collections, and will laugh with you when it is proven these are real and I passed on the deal of the decade.

I don't think that day will ever come, however. The cap, eagle, and skull are all total reproductions, IMO.

I had two caps with them on the front and the side eagle I picked up in the late 1960s Lining was fake grey silk and had size stamp. A guy wanted one of the caps, but not the insignia. I figured them fake and removed them. Ran into the skull about two months ago and sold it for $10!!! Hope it was fake. He was the only one that wanted it. Hope I run into the other one---I took it off the second hat. I may have ----ed up royally!

              I still think these are okay . . .
For me it has a distinct look of possibly Belgian or French made
This is not the only ugly skull available

Dont throw them away - put them in the repro bin until any proof surfaces.

I cant believe that not more collectors are sceptic about them... But thats perhaps just me with my critical way of thinking.

                Better safe than sorry

David, the cap that has been on Gunbroker with one of these skulls is still for sale after over 1.5 years, if you or anyone else who believes these are original wants one.

The price has dropped since the last time I posted regarding availability of the skull, still attached to a cap and sporting a side eagle that I also believe is bogus, but you can buy the whole thing for 275.00 USD. That's a great price for a real skull.

I don't believe these have any chance of being real - but those that do can certainly buy one cheap.
