Minty Waffen SS parka

HI All,
Just several minutes old find - I want to show my new find. It is big and almost unworn condition, nicely marked by RBNr code charkow jacket. Please, what could be actual fair price for selling it ? You kidding right ? Those sells on the market from 750 to 1000 euro ( for example on eBay ). Dealers as usualy want more and sell them for around 1250 ( as lowest price I have seen ) to 1500 euro ( some want more but are unable to sell them - can provide a lot of examples ).

This one is not worth more than max. 1000 euro as the rubber in waist are gone ( not flexible anymore ). Most probably the same thing would be with rubber in wrists.

This is the most popular model from all WSS parkas and many collector would not call them "Charkow" as these wrer developed and intrudcued later ( in winter 1943/44 ). The real Charkow parkas are those pullover parkas with opening to half of the lenght.

You are right about the pricing. The pull-over versions are more rare, but not that much more expensive. The amount of $ 2000 is far above the value.

If rubber in waist would be "working" ( mean wuld be still elastic ) than jacket should be "skrinked" out there ( in waist line ) , while in your jacket it is "straight" all the way ( which mean it is no longer elastic ).

The "silk" liner in sleeves, at the very end of it always had a rubber bands ; this one is clear gone in your jacket.

Ok, I have tried it by hnad and it seems to be elastic, but I hope that it is not so important.... It is very well marked ...
