Thanks for the better pictures, which confirm my thoughts, 100%.
Notice all of the pitting holes and flaws throughout. Also, the lower right crossbone really messed up on this one. Here are some points to observe.

Anyway, the material appears to be the same as what we typically see on most of the better cast aluminum style SS belt buckles, (both, officer, and EM).

          Thank You Chris!
Not what I expected but I do trust you and appreciate your analysis.

Sorry to have to bring you bad news. Nobody wants to hear it, but better to know than not to, I suppose. This is certainly one that everyone needs be cautious of from now on.
I knew this was likely to happen, due to all of the hype over these ultra rare aluminum Assmann skulls and their crazy value.

            Until next time,

            Chris

              Chris,
Honestly, I would prefer to hear this now vs a year from now after I sell it. I know the hat was real and was re-verified by a trusted name so I am just waiting to hear publicly.
              Best Wishes,
              Bob

Skull or no skull, I really like what I see in the construction of the hat. I see no problems with the basic hat.

In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king.

Duct tape can't fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.

In the new photos can see the "Bermuda triangle"

Since you believe it is false too, because you does not remove it (to replace it with an authentic one and shows us the back of this "fake"one? )

For many red circles there in , it is still an original Assmann

Olle, according to you, both the eagle and the skull are original zinc Assmann pieces and the skull, repainted.

Please let us know the features that identify that eagle as being an Assmann.

Bob, could you please do us one more favor, and post a really good close-up picture of each side of the skull, (four edge shots, left, right, top and bottom),
as best you can? I would really appreciate that very much. Thank you!

                              Hello Everyone,
What a challenge! I have fun playing with my camera and have learned how to use it very slowly over the years. I did my best with the pics, thank you for everyone's comments
