Interesting piece, from an artistic point of view only, the work appears not to have been worked/ sculpted to the best degree, but hey thats just my Art School coming thru, cant wait to hear more

Interesting but yes, it's not great looking silver work.

It was auctioned last year and I wonder why parts of the paper label on the box base have been ripped off since. Also the repaired hinge has been 'aged' by the looks of it, now being rusty.

Interesting, my friend purchased the item via auction in the US.

He is a horse breeder and silver collector, hence why he liked it. (Not a TR collector)

I photographed it today with my IPhone only, he said the silver manufacturer was a well known one?

Also it looks far fAr better in hand as to the quality of manufacture.

I asked him re label and hinge and as expected this is the state he received it in from the US auction house.

He lives right on the coast in New Zealand, so maybe sea air rusted it, hinge could have recently lost its leather cover, as is not a repair.
