    Possible SS sword knot?

    I was recently offered this sword knot and the gentleman said it is SS. Is it possible he is correct?

        These knots are very controversial. Some collectors believe they are post war but others think late war time knots but never issued. A lot of dealers use this belief to get big money for them but in my experience they are not very desirable and can be had for $50.00 USD or less.

            I bought mine in 1993 for $12.50, still in the original cellophane. Then it was an unknown, but period, knot. They were possibly TENO or whatever, but certainly not SS. They didn't become SS until about 10 to 20 years later.

            Based partly on the packaging, I believe they are either original, or Very old reproductions / fantasy pieces.

              I owned one of these in the late 70's so if they are fake they have been around for a very long time.
