Hi Guys , thanks for all yours opinions.I remain of the same idea that the Overseas-cap is a good one, maybe or certainly reassembled, and I has ordered it.
When I will receive it I will make you know.

                        Thanks to show yours cap

                          Robert E cap

Robert E, I would say yours is a text book example of the field grey overseas cap , everything regulation and a type often encountered . If there is any doubt as to what constitutes a original eagle see Molllo's Uniforms of the SS vol 1 , pg.16, same series vol.6 , pg. 11 and pg. 75 , see Hayes reference " Uniforms , Insignia and Accoutrements , pg 108 , and if there is still doubt see Angolia "Cloth Insignia of the SS pg. 448, and for those who still do not believe see Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler , by Stan Cook and Bender , these are all early type reference books and show quite clearly this eagle . In addition I have this eagle on four of my SS caps , which are almost the exact same as the above for you true Non - Believers . they really are all very close in manufacture .

Concerning the skull button on a overseas cap , as a side note , on some un-touched examples I have examined the paint finish does not seem to have chipped or aged and are in a almost un-issued state , why I do not know ? others look there age . I know this isn't much help but it is a observation I have made and often wondered about myself, maybe some where factory finished better than others .

I hope the deal turns out well for you the price was certainly a very good price
                            cheers,
                            Gary

Here is another Georg Teufel Sohn Tuttlingen SS-VT cap.

The fellow who sent me these photo's some time ago stated it had been on Bill Shea's site a few years back, but I can't confirm.
