    Thanks Chris,
    Also you can feel aluminum in it by its weight as it is lighter
    One thing I wondered before is at what point (in the production process) the copper and aluminum was bonded together? simulatanously whith product being made like while die-striking or did they "die-strike" cupal sheets , or did they die-strike copper and aluminum sheets individually and then bonded them together?

        I think that they had CupAl sheets made up that they used for striking.

          and that's what I thought then I would suppose the aluminum layer should be visible on the edges IMO just like all layers are visible here

            The edges of the sheets 'smear' as they are stamped.

                I don't know why some "smear" and some are left with a bright, perfect aluminum edge line, but this is the case. Also, the eagles show this line more frequently than the skulls do.

                    on the 'dug-out' example (below) the aluminum layer is completely gone (corroded away) and IMO the "smear-edges" of the copper layer can be clearly seen

                      Reverse of this skull looks not destroyed despite missing pins.
