        Hi Monarch,

        The eagle you posted is original, but a later in the war version. Note how thick/padded the chest feathers and under feathers are on the early version posted by William.

              The same pattern as that called the “Dachau Pattern” by some collectors was in fact made before and all through the war, so not just later war. A lot of the insignia found and taken from Dachau was early war and some pre war. With a few exceptions of some categories of insignia, I would say most of the insignia taken there was from 1943 back to pre war
