Thanks for posting these for me! I think I have my photographic issues resolved and will be happy to add more pics if necessary! These came from a collection that they had been in for 50 years, the collector bought direct from the vet with all his other war trophies. These were taken from the stores at Dachau. Now I bought them from that collector. I'd really love some opinions on these. I posted on warrelics.eu and got nothing but thumbs up. I hoping I do here as well, thanks!

I guess the first question that I think we all agree on the answer to is the question of being original.....which has been a unanimous yes by everyone....My second question, and the theory has been discussed on this forum in another thread is this......Since the SS stopped using Kupferbraun in 42 and basically did away with the Recon designation, did the remaining unissued Recon boards get reassigned to KZ use? Would any "brown" shade after 42 carry the KZ designation? These boards were taken from Dachau by a U.S. G.I. in 45 along with other unissued SS insignia from the clothing stores. Would there still be Recon boards laying around in bins?Last edited by ZF4Kurzpatrone; 02-05-2016, 07:44 PM.

What I have read earlier is that KZ had light brown and not copper brown piping.
This is very tricky, I will follow this thread with interest.

Check this one out. http://wehrmacht-awards.com/Forums/s...3&postcount=20 There are some boards compared to each other, light brown and copper brown.
Your shoulder boards were used by the Reconnaissance since they are copper brown. KZ used light brown. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corps_colours_(Waffen-SS)
Sorry for using wikipedia as source, I cant find any else right now.
Of course Im not expert, so lets wait for them to comment too.
