Study the real garments and you will spot the bad ones.

The SS Tank wrap left the factory only with an arm eagle imo.

Please do with this info as you seem fit , but 25 years ago I handled 2 identical , factory fresh and MINT original SS style black wraps that came from 2nd hand clothing recycling - they turned up in Holland .
I gave it all I had , but I could not pry them loose from the greedy hands of the arrogant little rat ( his very nickname ! ) that found them at the time .

So only some info I can pass on for others : I distinctly remember that they both had factory applied sleeve eagles AND also the SS runes , but most importantly , there were

NO RANK patches yet .. !

Already at the time ( I was so much younger then ) I realized the importance = this is how they had left the factory .. !
If only I could have seized one , for evidence , or at least have kept a picture . Remember that 25 years ago , you didn't have a camera with you at all times .
I realize now that it may mean that other Panzer units like Totenkopf or Prinz Eugen may have had to order their " Sonderbekleidung " without the Rune tabs , but I certainly know what I saw that day =
2 Factory fresh mint unissued SS wraps , unpiped , both having factory applied eagle AND SS runes .

I have nothing to gain from sharing this , but I hope the info will be picked up for the future , by those who are serious about collecting these , and can still actually afford them ..
