    You are quite right. I spend a fair amount of time in Vienna at the National Defense Academy, and the Bundesheer of today has field grey (kinda) tunics with slash side pockets, actually as I think they have had for a goodly while. I guess the Janke fakes are also closer to the original, but this tunic has been redyed and it is not a BGS one, but some other actual tunic that has been fixed up. You can find images of historical (post-1955) or present day Austrian tunics on the official BH wbesite when you do Google, "Bundesheer Uniformen," (bmlv.at/uniformen) and then there is a wonderful compendium of present and past uniforms replete with many slash, side pockets galore. Viel Sammlerglueck. This site needs some nice images of an authentic black SS tunic as a point of reference in addition to all the gems in the Beaver works. The GDC site has some in older files.
