They are good looking trousers made from original material, and look professionally produced. Some button holes on SS items (M43 cap, sleeves features) aren't keyholed, though I agree keyholing is the norm.

I would expect manufacturing info to be stamped on the fabric (if any factory marks were used at all), as these are a garment not a cover or pullover and would need a size to help with issue. A paper tag seem improbable, but what we don't know could fill a truck.

For instance, they could have even been part of a run for elements of a post-war army. But they do look like a great display set I'd hand onto for the time being.

For 60, or 100 or 200 dollars, how can you go wrong? They will display very well..I dont think they are wartime..however...the price is a give away at 60...two pizzas and sodas..good catch..send them to me please

If the material is original there is a possibility they were tailor made pair for a French soldier, plenty of pics of French wearing tailor made oakleaf trousers in Indochina - always green side dominant.

Paul, very interesting. Do you know of any site or source with photos or other examples? Does anyone know if Prima is a French brand as that is what the buckle is? The word itself is the same in French, Spanish and German.
They are for sure a manufactured item and I don't think they were ever made as a reproduction of anything. Thanks

Could´t the pants be made by the French guy that has that same yellow thread that sells on ebay. It looks exactly like his work he usually pictures this stuff on in front of a wooden rack with steins and stuff. Some might remember his listings.

Hey, I do not think the thread is yellow, it is more of a neutral-natural brown/beige. I can try and take a better photo if you like.
After reading the comments etc from everyone I am more inclined to believe they are the French made trousers for the Indochina theater post WW2. Reason being, they are not made as a repro of any German trousers I am aware of. Though they are made from original SS camo and have a German made buckle and buttons , the lining and pockets are not typical. Also the fact it has the size label '50' in the back and had a paper tag , makes me think they are a manufactured item, made from bolts of mint original SS camo. I am very open to any more ideas , comments etc.
It would be awesome to hope and imagine that they could be a pair of WWII German made custom Tarnhosen, but the tags are what throws me off, so I doubt it. Thanks !
