Talk about needy! I've never seen metal numbers on these early tabs, and wonder if anyone else have any they feel are original. I'd appreciate opinions - thanks!

Is this sleeve eagle another fake?
No great story; got this is a group deal from a German who claimed it was real. Strange bird if it is - like my boss, it's very tightly woven! Can someone tell me if this is another breed of fake?Comment

I would really like to know if any long-time collar tab collectors have seen these metal devices on non-elongated tabs. I got it this way many years ago, and the tab is good - but why the metal number instead of embroidery? Does anyone have any photo's of this being worn in actual period photos? This is mystery that I have been trying to solve for 25 years - thanks.Comment

Sorry i do not like the tab you posted, i have also never personally seen the use on metal numbers like this in period photo's, have i seen everything NO, but i would not be happy with the tab above, sorry,
