      Here are button holes that I prefer to see on originals (it's two SS wraps), however it does not mean that it is the only original variation.

            I can assure you the wraps i handled or saw on pics (and discussed) hasn't problems with button holes.
            There is a variety of sewing, from earlier to later... and i always see them with burlaps (checked with UV light) and usual 3 threads on interior holes.
            Sorry but button holes are not the key of these fu...ing wraps.

              I agree in this hobby it seems the more we learn the less we know.. With a quick search just found a wide and crazy variety of burlap materials found in original Heer wraps, go figure.. Basically everything was/is possible

                I agree. IMO the rune tab is a fake and so badly embroidered it looks like a kid made it.

                If that was real, then the RZM probably paid an officer to sew it to his tunic.
