Why there must be tons of WSS uniforms

The same person through out the war. From private to officer.
How many uniforms would a person need?

              WHOA AWESOME!

Unfortunately for me, I never find these tons of uniforms! Can you help me?

Any idea on what kind of action he saw to be promoted in such a manner?

Otto M. served as you can see with Totenkopf replacemet unit . Later his was in München with the Ers Art Rgt . He was killed in action as a platooncommander in 2 SS Panzerregimentn on the westfront at St Lo and is buried in France.

His brother was KIA as well.

                Best Jens

                    Very nice..

I strongly believe that the wool jacket on the right is one and the same ,only upgraded to officer..
It was done those days..,tailor added a green collar..
I just thought this by comparing the positions of the buttons of the breast pocket..,same flaps etc..
The black wrapper might be upgraded as well..

                    Just a thought..

                    Jos.

I agree Jos., but I don't think its the same M40 that we see initially - unless the pockets were redone??? And, the third black wrapper has quite a different collar... although that doesn't mean that it couldn't have been upgraded from the first. Still interesting to look for any clues of either upgrades or new issue.

Also AJ, this is a great visual reminder that any one soldier probably had multiples of uniforms (3, 4, 5...???) depending on this rank, duty station and or social status.

                        Thanks AJ.

For such a rapid promotion, I would have expected more decorations... at least a PAB and an EK2. Unless he simply "knew" the right people!

                            Thanks

                              Hi Paul

As far as I know he only recieved the wound badge in black.
I guess you could say he knew the right people
