      Hello,

As a specifically police collector, I can offer my opinion that all of the eagles shown look original to me. That TENO black eagle is the Holy Grail of police eagles, but of course you knew that I have never seen another. There are just too many variations to make general statements regarding good and bad characteristics. Loose weave, weave with spaces showing between wreath details, and wreaths around the cross open at the top are bad signs, but as far as design goes, I have multiple examples of at least 30 different head types that I consider good, so who knows how many variations exist. I think these were made "locally" for each jurisdiction, with NO central supply source so there is a lot of latitude regarding what looks good.

      Regards,
      William Unland

        William.
        You're absolutely right there.
All three look OK to me as well.

Well said Bill! Some of the recent repops are quite scary but there is a lot of room for variation in these eagles. You have got to please yourself.

Hi guys thanks to all of you for help and for all eagles you post Gary. Also thanks to Robin, anrando and schupo. As you all said that these could be good I have to addmit that you are right. Both enlisted man eagles are locall flea market find.So there is great possibility that these were locally made. Thanks again for all your time and kindnes for help.

EM Police eagles are tough...the copies look better than the real ones in some cases and in other cases the real ones look like they could be copies...I have to admit I resort to the blacklight on the white threads on some of these...I know that is not fool-proof but helps...The officer eagle posted looks good to me.

Hi thanks for your opinion John I tested all three with blacklight and all passed test. But now I am satisfied with them because almost all opinions were positive.

                Thanks again.

                Regards.
