From what I've seen mostly they don't seem to be matched by manufacturer or by material.

I could be wrong but I doubt the cap makers cared too much as long as they had sufficient supply to complete their orders.

That makes the presence of this cap set even more odd for this cap. Especially from era (time frame) when it was made.

I respect your opinion ... but do not share it, because it is just pure speculation, or were they in the production of this

          kindest regards Olaf

questioning about set is limited... for sure we would expect a cupal ones but i really don't care to find alluminium also if mismatched.
The value of visor is firm and also the relative scarcity.
by the way the observation on insignad has foundation and it's right for a skilled forum, by the way it's not so important or rilevant

money and a live market... it seems really impossible to sell something without giving an items to a merchant!
and is not possible, at least for me, to upgrade collection without some selling.

Jeezz relax, Olaf means he does not share, as in has the same, opinion as Peter does. He does not imply that Peter is not entitled to share his thoughts with the rest of the community.

I agree 100% - It is hard to change directions within your collection without selling something.

its not a speculation, it's experience and the same experience as mine.

If you are ok with a hodgepodge of insignia from different makers, metal composition and time periods then the cap is a beautiful thing.

as I said ... they are not the benchmark for me, because I do not believe anything they have ever picked up directly from the user or household will pick :-) ... I do not know if they have ever read my posts carefully ... I wrote that the cost of the cap were about as high as a 1939 Iron Cross Second Class, they tell me a rational reason why and who should be tinkering with the cap

rest is a story that only you know, be polite

also one input from my own experience, knowledge about facts is quite low in the German collector scene with material like this cap or most other SS material.
