Why bother tearing out your name-tag?
My point, precisely! To clarify, the conundrum I am describing rests in the missing the wearer's name-tag, often found within the inside pocket - not with a missing tailor's label [which, admittedly, in this case, does seem somewhat odd?] . . . to have a perfectly intact uniform, with the insignia attached, but with a torn away name-tag at the inside pocket, always raised a question for me - even more so, in almost EVERY SS uniform we see . . . what would be a plausable explanation for this I've often wondered . . .
Additionally, my query about missing name-tag's was not intended to raise question regarding the legitimacy of the jacket posted by U571 - it was simply a comment made in curious reply to your thoughts of similar lineage, JP . . .
