Why bother tearing out your name-tag?

My point, precisely! To clarify, the conundrum I am describing rests in the missing the wearer's name-tag, often found within the inside pocket - not with a missing tailor's label [which, admittedly, in this case, does seem somewhat odd?] . . . to have a perfectly intact uniform, with the insignia attached, but with a torn away name-tag at the inside pocket, always raised a question for me - even more so, in almost EVERY SS uniform we see . . . what would be a plausable explanation for this I've often wondered . . .

Additionally, my query about missing name-tag's was not intended to raise question regarding the legitimacy of the jacket posted by U571 - it was simply a comment made in curious reply to your thoughts of similar lineage, JP . . .

      Hello All,
      Just one question:
Orignal WWII jacket MADE WAR or MADE POST WAR jacket?
      Thanks.

I believe the Jacket is probably a wartime made jacket the sleeves may be relined or not that is something that would need a hands on look for me.

All serious opinions are given , if you want chattering we can talk all the time you want but you'll never add an important info for you.
It's your time! If yoy like and you pay right ask for an hand inspection ... It's the only way to study and have real feed back from this nice item.

              Looks very promising so far!

But some clearer and higer resulution pics of the eagle (Looks almost if it was cut of and not folded, but maybee its because of the not so clear photo), clearer photo of the bakside of collar tabs attatchemnt to se if the stiches is different in size or done by a old machine, and above the WH eagle breast pocket place to see if some old shadow can be seen... And also would be fun to see the medal loops!

Almost impossible to classify (the first tunic) as original or not. What the tailors could do then, they can do now. Do you know its history?
