SS runic collar tab bullion runes opinions needed

That was my guess as well. There has been many examples posted in the past with embroidery made through the buckram, and sometimes also when buckram is missing.

What is important about the tab in question is the shape of the runes and the dimension/propoertion of the tab itself.

My thoughts as well, I'm still not sure what I should think about the runes shape and the overall look of this tab, so I would appreciate some more opinions?

The tab and shape of the runics is not typical of known real examples.

The initial tab you posted would not be for my collection. It is just too weird.
Better stick to what is known and what is known as originals.
