    Waffen-SS tunic Maria Theresia

    Hello everyone,

I would like to share some pictures of this tunic.
Looking forward to your comments! If you want any more close-ups please let me know!

    Thanks

Nice original SS tunic with an original SS sleeve eagle (hard to say when applied), in good shape. The boards looks like late war panzer to me, most likely Army.

The collar tabs look freshly applied, and possibly replica.

If sold for the value of the parts, a good tunic! If being sold as an untouched wartime tunic, better look harder IMO.

These are always nice to find - it's a good looking tunic overall.

Accurate assessment! Straps don't have field gray bottoms. Still very very nice overall as a Waffen SS impression! Tunic is spectacular

Question is when tabs meet tunic (original made from italian wool)......

        Possibly fresh made combination

Rank mismatch between tabs and boards - and a strange sixth buttonhole...but an original tunic

The Maria theresa does look like a delta repro to me.
            Cheers

Agreed To me possibly a re-applied eagle and the rest of the insignia are post-war additions.

It is all put together and fake aged on an Original tunic. The tabs have been hit with sand paper. The arm eagle looks reapplied. Too bad they did not restore it with original insignia.

Pass me the 200 grit would you my dear.

Bloody awful behavior because it just assumes and expects us all to be complete idiots.

I never understood that. Whats the logic behind the fake tabs and a nice ole original SS tunic?? I know times are tough, but God damm, not fake Maria Theresia tabs!

Now that we know the tabs are fake, it has me wondering what division this tunic originated from. Nonetheless a nice tunic.

The people who restored it may not have even known they were bad. It is a nice tunic, it still can be made to look nice.
