I figured that as I had seen other people posting pictures. It's weird though, just posted a picture the other night but now it keeps giving me an error message with a link to the administrator.

I'm sure I will get it figured out, it's a beautiful Visor! I own a couple of his SS tunics as well, including the field gray one early on at the beginning of this thread.

It could be that the image is too large or the wrong format.

Have a play around with the images as we'd love to see pics of the visor.

Only to add that Otto Weidinger was not legally awarded the Swords. The German Federal Archives have absolutely no paperwork on this. Not even a recommendation exists. The award was made by Sepp Dietrich with no authority in this matter whatsoever. Weidinger was an OdR member.

correct no official paperwork, but the vetern history tells so that his recommendation was approved 6th of May, that was then to late to make it official. He would got the swords and wore them as decoration after the war.

Was it for sure Dietrich who submitted the application?

It was presented to Pflomm in 1934 when he held the rank of SS-Oberführer.
