Notice that the skull that started this thread and the one posted by Chris in photo #20, have the slash between the M and the 1 as in M/1 52 instead of M1/52. Hardly a Deschler oversight.
The one posted by John isn't like that, but it is too damaged for me to be sure of it's authenticity in any case, as I'm just not familiar enough with this variant.
