So the set of Lieutnant collar tabs are fake? I am very surprised but I don't know to much about SS Insignia.

What is the best reference book on SS insignia?

Brian, the wirey twisted piping was in circulation on reproductions dating at least back to the 70's if not before, also compare the ammount of fold-over material on the other (original) tabs. The other insignia are very nice originals in my opinion.
