Ha, yes that is a small guy, but he is an officer , but I don't think you will find a similar OR size ss man in 1940.

I know I'm new to SS insignias, but after giving it some thought, don't u think its a little harsh to say never to trust an SS tunic that is heer cut, especially an M36? Lets not forget the Waffen SS only had heer supplies at their early stages. Not trying to be argumentative, but just wanted to point this out.

They did, someone even posted a period photo of men who had been transfered from army to SS. They had army tunics with SS insignias applied to them with a couple in the front row still having the army breast eagles attached.

However I suppose it is the cost of an SS tunic overall that would cause most collectors to judge them harshly unless they have provenance.
