I M Very Interested In This Thread, I Know Robin Lumsden Had A Thread Going On Before About Delta And Dachau Tabs. The Problem Is They All Appear In The Usa, For Us In Europe Its A Never Seen Item.would Like To Learn More About It

to go back to the Dachau tabs and delta tabs, i was wondering that if those dachau tabs have been fakes and not bring backs from vet in the USA, so why so few appeared on the European market. if those were copies they would have been sold in europe as well and not only in the USA.

My theory is this:

Many tabs, shields, cuff titles, fezes, sleeve eagles, trapezoids were indeed found at Dachau. I know for example of a vet lot where 600 Dachau pieces walked into a motel buy held inside an SS fez. The lucky motel-buyer got the lot for $ 600.00!

I however also feel decent copies were made of the tabs.and now the eagles...I do not think any decent copies were made of the shields, trapezoids or even cuff titles.

From what I have been told the copy tabs have a thicker buckram backing that does not have the greasy glue like material on the reverse of the buckram.

Many people have sent me messgaes wanting to buy my fakes. I paid only 25 cents each for them many years ago. Now they are selling for hundreds of dollars on dealer sites. I do not want to sell them to cheat anybody. Does nobody want to post pictures of badges to compare close?

Here's the two tabs together.....mine is marked $95.00 Lets get back to the subject. Mine was originally purchased from Jack Angloia. The bottom one looks dirtier than the top one .

The Handschar is one of the more common Dachau tabs and I have seen these produced in at least 4 different styles...There was a good article in the Military Advisor some years back that went into detail on these Dachau pieces.
