No, actually it is standard enlisted insignia that has some age discoloration.

This one I just found too. It has a funny pink mustache! He is on the way right now to join the rest of his SS panzer crew!

There is only one other cap like this known to exist, and it is in a major West Coast collection.

No it is not the cap in the Wilkin's book. That beautiful m-43 cap on page 189 is in the collection of Willi S. I believe, and it differs from this one primarily because it has other ranks cloth insignia. The flatwire cap I referred to is in the collection of David Wolfe of Wolfe-Hardin.
