      Here you can see the wool thinning over the folds of the piping flange; these holes are forming just like their larger counterparts. It wouldn't take much more rubbing to break through, for certain.

      Whether you chose to believe these boards are good or bad, I wanted to post these additional pictures for those that run into such a pair in the future. If they look like these and the pair Lorenz posted, I would recommend you snag them. But that's just my opinion.

          Robert, This shows alot of the characteristic's that you describe on yours .The main difference is the cotton piping.
