I like them, but many collectors do not believe they are wartime made.

Duct tape can't fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.

Bob, I think the number of disbelievers has become less. I like them as well. I have 1 in my collection.

There are a ton of genuine TR insignias with reverse pins identical to these skulls. I'm a believer; they're real.

I bought one last month for $5.00. There are certainly no shortage of cheap ones. If real, I could have had 100 easy. I can't say either way, but they will never be trusted like the others.

                  Best, Chris

Well, I know a place where they have been quite plentiful for a few years now. If they are still available when I go back in November, I will buy all of them that are available at that price and I'll share them out. Also, I will post some pics of the one I bought, asap.

                          Hello again,

What are the obverse differences between these and wartime produced versions from this maker?

perhaps its not so much about the skull having 3 prongs.. but rather, the actual design on the skulls anterior and posterior surfaces compare to 2 prong metal versions?

can someone with better eye than mine, point out specific design differences between the so called 3 prong deschler vs the 2 prong descher?

                            ANYONE?

Yes, I have done this before. There are many differences just on the front side.
