No, Not another Waffen SS Headgear Collection!

Rainy Sunday and the postal girl brought me a little addition to my family. One of the caps on "a Waffen SS Headgear Collection" was reassigned to duty here in Illinois. Henceforth one of my men has been transfered to Massachusetts.
So I will share some headgear pieces also since I seldom post items on this forum. I have collected Waffen SS headgear for five years and have been lucky to make some good aquaintences. I have found that it is often easier to obtain nice headgear when you have something desirable to offer in return.
I like to collect cloth caps and the occasional visor. Once in a while I pick up some insignia which I always trade towards headgear. These are some of my keepers!

Panzer m-43

Here is the panzer m-43. It came from a Russian Military Museum In St. Petersburg. It is maker marked Carl Halfar and has the museum stampings.
This cap has never had an eagle. It has bakelite buttons.

Here is an officer m-43 cap. It is in the Italian gabardine fabric and has white piping. It has bevo woven insignia. This one was liberated from Statni Film Studios and is one of the few intact with original insignia.
It has all the stuff I like to see in a original cap.

Officer m-43

Here is my absolute favorite cap I have. It is an officer m-43 with flatwire insignia and silver piping. This cap was also liberated from Statni Film Studios and I have not seen another flatwire cap out of the Statni Film costume department. This cap is one I consider to be exceptionallly rare and desirable.

I believe only a high-ranking officer, Oberfuhrer or above would be authorized to wear the silver piping and flatwire insignia by the time this was made in 1943.
