The thread was started by T.K. and here is exactly what he said.
"I thought you may be interested into see this from Yad Vashem Archive.
It's KL related: I wasn't able to ID the cuff so far."

In other words, this thread is not exclusively about the cufftitle but is also about the picture being KL related, but I'll stick to the mystery man question.

My question was...Is this man, on the far right, Reichsbahn?
I don't see a Reichsbahn eagle & city title, just that cufftitle. I looked at the link that you provided and there was nothing in there about the Reichsbahn. You seem to be leaning towards an answer of him being a member of the Reichsbahn.....so what's the answer? Do you know? The green light quotation from further up the thread was of no enlightenment whatsoever and I was not the only one who didn't understand it, so I was wondering what you are alluding to.
Yea or nay? If you don't know, that's OK.
    Tim

It wasn't really a dirty secret what they were doing in the Eastern Territories. Anybody that wanted to pay attention knew what was going on and there was no great secrecy about the entire Jewish population being transported to the East, was there?

          Tim.

I agree with you this would be an unusual uniform for Reichsbahn ............. but there were many unusual uniforms in the Ost.

The CT looks like a RB one to me. Can't think of anything else it look like. Definitely not Standort.

When I see the Baueinsatz-Ost related infos, no collar tabs only cuffband.
We also know the SS didn't wore collar for a specific time frame.
So maybe this photo fits in this frame.

But there will be always a question w/o any more photos or close ups from this photo.

"Definitely not Standort" why not? Maybe a title we never have seen before, possible as know this matter well :-)

OK, I agree. Not enough info to define branch definitely. I know that Robert H knows a hell of a lot more about this then I do, so I bow to those further in the know than myself. I do find it very unusual though to see this man appearing in what amounts to an anonymous uniform other then the cufftitle!!
              Thanx,
              Tim
