Currently I'm offering this late war tunic with printed eagle on E-Stand. Due to the scarcity of it, I thought it would be nice to have it posted on a Forum thread for reference as well... (and of course, some additional exposure doesn't harm either).

Hello.
I like the tunic. I've been interested and looking into the W-SS uniforms late war and the lack of collar insignia is not uncommon (famous photos of a French flame thrower crew in Berlin).
I have looked at the Soldiers of WW11 book. I take it the difference from the police tunic to the W-SS type is it has two buttons on a bigger waistband?
Regards,
Chris.

No, actually it is identical in design and also has only one button on the waistband (and five in total). Did you look in the second print on page 122?

I was intrested how one can tell the difference between a W-SS M44/45 and a police one.
Regards,
Chris.
Anyway, the main difference is the Polizei green color, and insignia of course.
I have seen one other W-SS example with modified pocket flaps that had the buttons added.

The printed form of eagle are indeed very late war and intended for the M-44 uniform; therefore you hardly see them on any tunics. Several have been found unissued and still on their original roles.
The Heer had their own printed version as well.

This recent thread reveals some very very nice and interesting images with the second version of the printed SS-eagle in wear:

Hello Fred.
I can't show the picture as I my scanner is kaput.
The picture is in 'Waffen SS An Illustrated History' by Adrian Gilbert, page 178. Photo credit is to Brian L Davis.
It doesn't state they are French in this book but I have seen them described as French elsewhere. I am continuing to search where I have seen this.
Regards,
Chris.
