A friend of mine just had his second volume about the Estonian SS-Volounteers published, and he gave me permission to show you guys this photo which might be interesting, as it is a version of the sleeve eagle not to often seen in period pictures.
The photo shows a group of estonian SS-volounteers during the late summer of 1944. Looks like the SS-Unterscharführer closest to the camera sports the eagle on some kind of field made tunic made of army splintertarn zeltbahn complete with collartabs, shoulderstraps and estonian flag, which is not of the standard Dachau-pattern, but the nicer one with the estonian lions.
