      Jan".

Well for one thing, your tab is supposed to be for a gruppenfuhrer, the ones in the link are for oberfuhrer. Second, look up an example for the first pattern gruppenfuhrer collar tabs. Pay attention to the placement of the acorns. You will see the difference between original first pattern gruppenfuhrer tabs and yours, which is a fake and not even close.

I think the only 'evidence' of that is the set of post-war photographs of the notorious old fraud Frithjof Elmo Porsch in his fantasy uniform covered in self-awarded decorations.

Not at all! There are some more photos showing other soldiers with both collar tabs presenting the crossed rifles and a stickgrenade.

Are you talking about this configuration?

Very nice photo, but only one Dirlewanger tab!

My bad Ludwig, I re-read your response.

I'm not aware of any photos showing both rifle/grenade tabs in wear, could you post any?

                    Hi,

I hope I don't come off wrong but is that a original wartime photo of a Dirlewanger Brigade member? The only time I have seen that collar tab in wear was the common photo showing them in action during the Warsaw Uprising.

                    Best,

                    James

There are a fair number of photos of the Dirlewanger tab in wear, but I've never seen a genuine one showing the rifles and grenade being worn on both sides.

I´m afraid, i haven´t found what I was looking for, but hope to do so in a near future.
It was not Iorsch, that´s for sure. He´s just a fraude IMO.

I cant understand how several internetfora debate his books. Even the unit in question, sturmbattallion 500, did not exist .

I think it should be clear to anyone who read his books that they are novels.
                            Nothing else.

I can only guess selling "boyish" waffen-ss adventure books in germany is not considered amusing or acceptable.
I'm thinking the mans solution to this, is sell his books as wartime biographies.

                            My 2 cents...
