Would like to know your opinions about this greatcoat. Apparently a mint Heer coat which has been issued as an SS-coat. Stamping, french cuffs, interior lining all indicate Heer great coat, but
it is quite easy to attach an eagle and there we go, we have the WSS-version.
This one however appears to have the eagle machine attached as from the beginning. Coat is unissued mint condition. As found together with its shoulderboards, but if they were originally attached..........
I have checked stitching on the liner on the inside. I can't find any traces of reopening stitching along the length of the arm. Both arms have been stitched with same thread in same way over the same length. I don not know if pictures will reveal this.
As this coat is in mint condition, and therefore any messing with stitiching easily revealed, I would opt for a real WSS-issued great coat.
Would like to know whether others share my opinion.
