I have to agree Peter...I do know Bruce and he is one of the good dealers out there who does everything to make sure his customers are happy with what they buy...the tunic is priced a bit over the value of the insignias so I am sure he is aware of what he is selling. But you havent ever seen it nor close up photos so your judgement is off.....

But as it was put by another member your abilities and skills in this field are seriously lacking and it is apparant to many here other than myself, try collecting pez despensers or something easy....here is one for you.

"Max Wunsche" you do not seem to be seeking reference to learn about the history and types of SS uniforms out there that a textbook would assist you with..you seem more concerned about price and what people think about whats for sale...are you a serious collector or just kicking tires around.

            Bruce

Bruce has turned up some great stuff and he does work hard to make the Customer happy.

Collecting SS Gear is expensive, collecting Pez Dispensers inexpensive, collecting young Ladies.......verrryyy expensive !!

            Me want warm Milk !

I am a serious collector, although I see your point about my very open ended and vague start to this thread. I should be more specific about an item if I am stuck and need an informed opinion on in future.

Dont want to waste anyones time with something I should have used the search function for... Apologies all.

You love to voice your opinion when you think something is good, and you are usually wrong it seems. When a knowlegeable person teh caliber of Jon Pic,voices his opinion that something is questionable, you jump in with your defensive antics.Your track record is not that good.

What makes you think you know more, when you are continuosly wrong. On top of it you dont trust the views of others who obviously are more educated.Maybe you need some books,or should pay attention here more, especially to your peers, and others with more experience, than your impulsive guesses..Are you in a different dimension of SS collecting, where things are reversed?Just curious. Not an attack on you just speculation based on your posts.
I looked at the tunic in the attached link and judged it for what it was.

If others have additional / insider information about it that can prove it was reconstructed let them post it and I will gladly listen and consider myself advised. The posting of Pez dispensers and personal jabs is a total waste of time BTW . Also, if you follow my posts, which I believe you do, you will find they are a rather even mixture of judgements on originality.
                  Best Regards,Peter

                    Tunic

Well I don't think anyone can call that Tunic from those Pics. I would need it in hand anyway. The shoulder boards do seem to be sewn in at odd angles, perhaps putting it on a Mannequin would make it look better. The Boards do seem to have a piping that I like. Odd this piping appears damaged as it's not the type that Moths generally like to nip on, but maybe it's just wear. I agree about the Tunic looking minty with the beat up boards, but in hand is best.

And what is that above the left breast pocket? Extra strange loops?

                        Hmmm

I wonder what she was reading? THe Camera must have distracted her and her Bosoms have nearly fallen from her Bodice.

I believe it was a Tom Clancy techno-thriller that had her full attention when indeed she did notice a camera which caused her to be annoyed, distracted or actually curious and place down the novel to gaze with uncertainty at the lens.

I need a hands-on inspection to determine quality and authenticity.

I saw that too, to me the loops look like overlapping mounts for a CCC and a ribbon bar. I think once you had a CCC the flower War ribbons were old hat, he is wearing the other ones with steam in the button hole.
