    Thorsten.

This is from Weitzel's birthplace.............an SS 'Weihnachten' (not 'Jul' !!)banner of 1933.

Obverse has painted wording 'Sturm R/III/2', 'SS Ffm', 'Weihnachten 1933' and 'H. Mages'. Reverse has sunwheel swastika and motto 'Deutschland Erwache'.

Something to add to your collection?

A SS Christmas Tree decoration baulbe - so called "Jull Schmuck". (pardon the spelling - borrowed from the site!)

For anyone interested, it's being listed here: http://www.rkmilitaria.com/shop/shop.php

Never heard of this before, and don't know if it's legit - but it seems like it could be a good "fit" for some of you guys!

Thanks to all of you for your posting, and wonderful displays too!!
I guess I never really knew about all this "Yule" stuff and the SS. I find it
all very interesting.... especially since my birthday is on Dec. 21st.
I always thought it was cool that "my birthday" has been celebrated by many
cultures over the centuries, including the SS.
          Happy Holidays to all!

          Chris

Very nice Robin. Now if you pull one out from his hometown, I would faint.

                        I concur
this is VERY interesting. And quite self explanatory in the use of the graphics.
Somthing I would have in my collection.

                          Etienne,

Thank you very for sharing that interesting piece.

And if somebody is still searching for a fine Julleuchter a look into the E-stand might help.
