Ive seen this piece for sale, I was wondering if anyone here has knowledge as to if this could be fake or the real deal, if real how much is a fair price?

I have not seen many of these in the past but here is mine to compare to if you wish?? The paint on mine is cracking so to speak but is still remaining intact. If close up pics would help, just let me know!

I don't have one but I collect antique license plates and I don't like it based on the odd shaped numbers. Just an opinion for your info.

        Thanks,

        John

Mine too ... the '6' is obviously an upside down '9' and the '8' is the same but reversed ... note the thin side and the thick side.

          Just an opinion though.

Is it not entirely possible that they made this with what they had at hand, i.e. its not implausable that they did use an upside down '9' to create the '6' which does not make it a fake necessarily. I appreciate the feedback guys and as you say, it is a point of conjecture.

I guess there is so much stuff around that have for's & against's in terms of what looks legit and the odd few that are unique that are then branded fakes.

Would be good to hear more opinions on this.

The dealer said he purchased it while on his travels in Belgium FWIW.

its definitly sloppy sprayed on with a self made Stencil..also the seals on both side are missing....it is aged to look rusty...better wait for a proper wartime plate.
