One picture I have not posted yet is this one;
the threads, the thread used to make these eagles all burns, in the case of the white and yellow they are cotton, the black area around the eagle is cotton again, now the threads on the welt, the one you can pull out and unravel burns, but the one that stays in the welt that you cannot pull out well melts because its nylon.

now there are other insignia that i think were make by the same maker so when i have examined these i will also put up what i have learnt although finding these old examples is quite difficult that is why i have asked if you have any old fakes please send them to me as fakes they have no value other than to educate others, it will not be going into a book you have to buy it will be posted here FOC
