The tropical cap eagle I am not sure of. I have never seen this version before. Blacklight test? It looks very "yellow" in the last photo. Perhaps tricks of the light or flash. Real tropical SS cap BeVo eagleas are VERY rare.

              The rest are nice originals!

Any other opinions on the tropical eagle? The color is a bit distorted in the pic, but you can see that the color of the tropical skull is not much different.

                    eagle

Eagle is a good one IMO. Have hade this variant before in silver grey.

Could you post a shot of the reverse Doug? And perhaps also pics in "day light"
It reminds a bit about one eagle in Angolias cloth SS.

Not that keen on the trop cap eagle to be honest.

                        Here's an original.

Actually Felix you are right this variant is in Angolias book but is listed as a sleeve eagle incorrectly.

Yes, he a few things mixed up, and this is one the obvious examples. I hope most guys have noticed. Of course he also included a few fakes as well.

The eagle in question reminds me a bit about one of the cap eagles listed as sleeve eagles. The head seems bit different though. Lower outer half moon circle "pointy" feathers are spot on though.

It would be good if you posted yours Sayle.

                            Cheers,
                            Felix

                              eagle

I dont have a loose example anymore but here is one that was on a cap I owned. If they were replicas you would see alot more of them . I find them to be quite scarce a varient.
