The tropical cap eagle I am not sure of. I have never seen this version before. Blacklight test? It looks very "yellow" in the last photo. Perhaps tricks of the light or flash. Real tropical SS cap BeVo eagleas are VERY rare.

Any other opinions on the tropical eagle? The color is a bit distorted in the pic, but you can see that the color of the tropical skull is not much different.

Actually Felix you are right this variant is in Angolias book but is listed as a sleeve eagle incorrectly.
Yes, he a few things mixed up, and this is one the obvious examples. I hope most guys have noticed. Of course he also included a few fakes as well.
The eagle in question reminds me a bit about one of the cap eagles listed as sleeve eagles. The head seems bit different though. Lower outer half moon circle "pointy" feathers are spot on though.
I dont have a loose example anymore but here is one that was on a cap I owned. If they were replicas you would see alot more of them . I find them to be quite scarce a varient.
