As the person who compiled the website could I please be allowed to reply. Firstly, the website never states that any of the items are original (and after reading this thread I have put a note on to that effect) or tries to pass any off as original. If the insignia were issued no photos have come to light and the pictures are for showing what they may have looked like. I am surprised that people are even thinking that they are original. If you check the website I always say 'may have been' or 'allegedly'.
Cuff titles - sources state that limited number may have been issued. I state that no German Insignia was ever issued (except for possibly the 'H' collar patch) The folded cuff title is a repro from a Hungarian website. The museum cuff title and collar patch are repro's (as stated on an other thread on this forum). The cuff title looks embroidered close up. What the museum based it on and why it is on a pea dot suit is unknown to me.
Arm Shields - again sources state that a limited number may have been issued. The photos for Hunyadi and Hungaria shields are included in books written by far, far, far more knowledgeable people than me so I thought I would include them on the site. The site does not state the corn flower arm shield was issued to 22 SS Division, it states that it may have been issued to members of SS Regiment Ney which was originally part of 22.SS Division but became a stand alone kampfgruppe after the battle of Budapest. The shield shown was made for me based on drawings I had seen researching the units (I also came across drawings for arm shields for 1 Schi and 1st Sturmjaeger battalions but I did not include them as no other source mentioned them)
Helmets - the words 'decals' or 'decal' are not used on the site. It states that they were painted on (a German site recently had for sale a helmet with the national colours of Bulgaria painted on)
Armband - I found this on a Hungarian website on the 25 SS Division (and a couple of other websites) I have asked on forums for more information but none has been forth coming (even to say it was a fake)
The uniform shown is also listed as 26.SS Division on some web sites.
The soldbuch is from this forum website (and found on others) and so I hope it is original .....
I am sorry if people some how got the idea that they were being passed off as originals and I hope that this clears a few things up. Information on the Hungarian SS units is limited so I included the armband and other items in the hope that some one may provide some information. The research on the units is still on going and as I find further info I will keep my website updated.

On further checking, the photo of Hunyadi mess which is commented on in one of the posts concerning a possible cuff title, the caption for the picture states that the gentlemen 2nd from the right is actually SS Brigadefuhrer Heinz Fanzlau who had visited the Hunyadi division on 31 Dec 1944. So he would be wearing his normal cuff title

        Hello Janos,

You made an excellent website, but I don't understand what is the purpose then of including fantasy items such as armband and the shields, especially if there is no photographic evidence of any of them. Regarding the ski insignia, some people argue that it belonged to Leventi Youth organization.

An other picture where the H tab is clearly visible, it comes from a grouping wich included more than 60 pics. Sorrily the grouping was stolen from the owner. Hopefully they will reappear someday.

Wow great rare picture clearly illustrating the H collar tab being worn. The sleeve shields were probably preliminary designs that were either in the works of being manufactured or were still in the drawing boards but were never either approved or issued. If originals exist they were probably unofficial and locally made same as the cuff band.

Thank you for the comments on the website. As I said the insignia were on the website for no other reason that to show people what the insignia may have looked like if they had been issued. The arm shields are in books I came across at various places so I thought if they are in the books they should be shown to a wider audience. I now realize that it was not the best action to take and have amended the website.
Could I please use the photograph above on the website? I hope that the rest of the collection turns up.
Can I also ask why if there are no official papers listing the name of the 22. SS as "Marie Theresia" why the name is listed in most books as such?

That piece of insiginia is the only one Hunyadi related
cloth item that so far has been proven in period images to have been issued!
Everything else shown in this thread highly unlikely!
The picture with the officer wearing the H collar tab is Waffen-Hauptsturmfuehrer Andras Szinay. If I am not mistaken this photo was from Andreas Payer's Armati Hungarum
